Commitment
Proximus NXT is committed to making its platform accessible, in line with the Belgian law of 5 November 2023 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act). This statement applies to the Proximus NXT web platform served at digitalmedianova, digitalmedialuna and digitalmediaterra (.be), including its public pages and its authenticated workspaces.
Compliance status
This platform is partially compliant with the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA, owing to the non-conformities and not-yet-verified items listed below. No critical (blocking) conformance failure is known at the date of this statement.
Accessibility features
The platform is built to be accessible by design. Implemented measures include:
- Keyboard operability — every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard; overlays and dialogs trap and restore focus.
- Skip-to-content links — a "skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page, and each page exposes a main landmark.
- Visible focus indicator — a focus ring with at least 3:1 contrast against its background, across every realm and theme.
- Screen-reader support — semantic HTML and ARIA, accessible names on icon-only controls, labelled form fields with announced errors and status, and data tables with captions and header associations.
- Page language — the document language is declared and follows the chosen language (Dutch, French or English).
- Reduced motion — animations honour the prefers-reduced-motion setting.
- Colour and contrast — text meets AA contrast, and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
- Non-text content — charts expose a text alternative and an underlying data table; meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Documents — exported PDFs are tagged (PDF/UA structure tree and document language) so they are screen-reader navigable.
- Responsive layout — content reflows and stays usable on small screens and at increased zoom.
Non-accessible content
The content below is not yet fully accessible. We are addressing it.
- Zoom and text-spacing at 200% on the densest dashboards and tables is not yet exhaustively verified for no loss of content (WCAG 1.4.10 / 1.4.12).
- The minimum target size of icon-only controls in dense tables (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8, 24×24) has not yet been formally audited.
- Automated accessibility testing currently gates the public landing pages; authenticated workspaces are covered by static and manual review, with automated coverage being extended.
- Live screen-reader spot-checks are still pending on some authenticated surfaces; the static review found no blocker but live confirmation is ongoing.
Improving accessibility
Accessibility is tracked as a first-class engineering item: a WCAG 2.2 AA readiness review and a risk register rate every success criterion and drive remediation, and accessibility regressions are guarded in continuous integration (an automated axe-core gate on public pages plus source-level guard tests and accessibility lint rules). The items listed above are scheduled for resolution.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 21 June 2026 by the Proximus NXT team, based on a self-assessment — a code-level and static evaluation against WCAG 2.2 AA combined with partial manual testing (keyboard runs and contrast measurement), following the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM). It will be reviewed at least annually and after significant changes to the platform.
